It has been announced with the Presidential Decisions No. 3316 and 3317 published at the Official Gazette dated 23.12.2020 that the periods for short term working regulated in accordance with the Unemployment Insurance Law No. 4447 have been extended.

The amendments made in this respect are specified below.

  • New Applications:

Workplaces that request short term working for the period following 01.01.2021 due to Covid-19 will be able to benefit from the short time working allowance for 3 months, provided that they file the relevant application until 31.01.2021.

  • Previous Applications:

Workplaces that have applied for short time working on and before 31.12.2020 due to Covid-19 will be able to benefit from short term working allowance until 28.02.2021.
