In the Official Gazette dated 20/12/2023 and numbered 32405, the Communiqué on Increasing the Monetary Limits in Article 68 of the Law numbered 6502 on the Protection of Consumers and Article 6 of the Regulation on Consumer Arbitration Committees has been published.

The monetary limits specified in the first paragraph of Article 68 of the Law on the Protection of Consumers dated 7/11/2013 and numbered 6502 and in the second paragraph of Article 6 of the Regulation on Consumer Arbitration Committees published in the Official Gazette dated 21/9/2022 and numbered 31960, have been increased by 58.46% (fifty eight point forty six per cent), which was determined as the revaluation rate for the year 2023 in the General Communiqué on Tax Procedure Law published in the Official Gazette dated 25/11/2023 and numbered 32380 (Sequence No: 554), and determined as 104.000 (one hundred and four thousand) Turkish Liras.

The relevant article regarding the newly determined monetary limits as published in the Official Gazette is as follows:

Monetary limits

ARTICLE 3- (1) For the applications to be made for 2024, Provincial or District Consumer Arbitration Committees are in charge of disputes with a value below 104,000 (one hundred and four thousand) Turkish Liras.”
