In Turkey, there are monetary and non-monetary consequences to both the employer and the employee for immigration non-compliance (ie. not abiding by work authorization and visa requirements). The laws which may sanction the employer for inappropriate activities are governed by the Law on International Workforce (2016, No. 6735). The below chart refers only to 2022 penalties related to the Work Permit Directorate and other immigration agencies. Further and higher penalties for employer and employee non-compliance may result from other departments including Social Security Institute, Tax authorities, etc.
